The intent here isn't to calm down; it's to stop leaving the body and learn you can be with intensity at the sensation level, without story, fixing, or self-judgment.
The core move: from thinking about it (narrative) → to being in it (raw sensation) → with permission (non-resistance). This is like "Of Course" merged into a deeper, steadier "stay with the wave."
When to use it
Try this when you notice:
- you keep leaving your body or going numb
- you're stuck in story loops about what you feel
- you want to build capacity for intensity
- you're ready to practice non-resistance at a deeper level
Before you start
- Pick something mild-to-moderate (3–6/10). Resist the urge to go big.
- This is skill-building, not exposure therapy; titrate the dose.
If you feel panicky, dissociated, or too activated, stop. Open your eyes, orient to the room, and return to normal breathing. You can come back another time with a smaller dose.
